Brother LB6800PRW vs. SE400

If you’d like to try your hand at machine embroidery, you’ll be looking at all the different brands and models. Brother Embroidery is one of the most popular manufacturers of home embroidery and sewing machines. The Brother embroidery machine line ranges from machines for beginners to home embroidery businesses to industrial models. All of these options can be very confusing when you’re trying to find the right embroidery machine. This article explains the major differences between the Brother LB6800PRW and SE400 embroidery and sewing machines that are commonly available online and in retail stores.

Brother LB6800PRW vs. SE400

The Brother LB6800 PRW is a special Project Runway Limited Edition Sewing & Embroidery Machines. Brother is the Exclusive Sewing and Embroidery Licensee for the popular fashion reality television show, Project Runway. This machine is identical to the SE400 respectively, except that they have the Project Runway logo and come with a cool Project Runway Rolling Storage Bag. The rolling bag is very handy for taking the machine to classes, workshops, and sewing circles.

The Brother SE400 comes with some additional features like zoom function, built-in alphabet fonts, built-in alphabet designs, monogramming font styles, on screen automatic density adjustments (STB). It is smaller in size (HXWXD- 20.3x 15x 15.2 inches) too in comparison with LB6800PWR (HXWXD- 21.5x 16x 22 inches). It comes with an extra screwdriver and felt with stabilizer.

If you’re just starting out, or you want to upgrade your sewing machine and get into embroidery, then a combination embroidery and sewing is a good choice. You’re getting the best of both worlds in one compact machine at a fraction of what you’d pay for the two separate machines. The features of both the machines LB6800PRW and SE400 are same.
